Sport Bikes Kenya (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the website sportbikeskenya.co.ke and the Sport Bikes Kenya mobile application (collectively, the “Service”). We are a motorcycle marketplace platform based in Nairobi, Kenya, connecting buyers, sellers, garages, and riders across Kenya.

2 Data We Collect

4 Sharing Your Data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in the following circumstances:
4.1 With other users
When you publish a listing, your display name and phone number are visible to other users so they can contact you. Draft submission contact details are visible only to our admin team.
4.2 With service providers
We work with trusted third-party service providers to operate the platform — including image hosting, cloud infrastructure, and communications services. These providers process your data only on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
4.3 Legal obligations
We may disclose your data if required to do so by a court order, subpoena, or other lawful request from a government authority in Kenya or any other relevant jurisdiction.
5 Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:
- Account data — retained until you delete your account
- Listing data — retained for 12 months after a listing is closed or sold
- Draft submissions — retained for 12 months from the submission date
- Analytics data — retained in aggregated, anonymised form indefinitely
When your data is deleted it is removed from our active database within 30 days and from our backup systems within 90 days.
6 How We Protect Your Data
- All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted
- Passwords are never stored in plain text
- Database access is restricted to authorised application services only
- Administrative actions require authenticated sessions
- We apply security controls to protect uploaded media files
- We regularly review our security practices and access controls
